Sitting Quietly

 
Sitting Quietly (SQ) – as used and “defined” here – is the psychological skill of constructive introspection…and is manifest in that experience of being inwardly focused – on your thoughts, feelings, and intent. 
 
SQ can be engaged in myriad ways – including focused breathing, mindful contemplation, guided reflection, meditation, prayer – and these (potential) practices serve to facilitate 1) healthy self-regulation, 2) emotional well-being, and 3) one’s need to problem-solve.  SQ also happens to serve those human endeavors to discover…understand…reconcile…and awaken
